Allamprabhu B. Ed. College, Talwad, was established in the year 2007 and is an affiliated college in the Talwad, Karnataka. This co-educational institute is situated on a small area of 5 acre and particularly focuses on teacher education as it provides a concentrated course for the teachers. The college is small with a total of 170 student enroled and 12 faculty members making it easier to manage and personal to foster the student growth.

This college has got several facility that help in improving facilities for the benefit of their students. In the midst of any developed academic resource is a full equipped library through which students obtain a variety of academic resources and literature. The campus comprises departmental laboratories, which enable applicational learning essential for teacher education on the practical aspect. Allamprabhu B.Ed. College concerns itself strictly with the preparation of teachers, and it has only one course on its menu – the B.Ed. This course is a two-year full time program where the academic training focuses on preparing students for effective teaching practice. The program has a sanctioned admission capacity of 50 which provides for intimate contact with the tutors. This specialisation also enables the college to focus and provide quality teacher education without being distracted by other line of products.
