AM Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College Belgaum was initiated in the year 1967 as a centre for learning homoeopathy in the state of Karnataka in India. Situated at Nehru Nagar of Belgaum, this affiliated college is recognised by the CCH –Central Council of Homeopathy. The institute owns a large campus of 4 acre and provides all diversified homoeopathic courses. The Total number of students enrolment is 621 and the Total number of faculty members in college is 45 so the college offers all the necessary facilities to the students who wants to be homoeopaths.

AM Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College is affiliated to the college Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Yet, the college bear great concern for ensuring the students get the best within their facilities. The campus has recently built classroom facilities to hold 100 students in each class, with fixed projection screens, overheads and LCD projector connections. Functional Normal and Standard Training Equipment, the institute has a separate Physiology Laboratory that is well-equipped to provide training to 50 students at a go. However, for the better convenience of the students of the college, separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls are available. It also has a health centre with first aid services, fitness centre, library, computer lab, sports facilities, cafeteria, and an event and seminar centre – a hall. These amenities play an impact in enhancing the learning process of the students because they provide additional learning beyond classroom sensibilities.

AM Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College has a total of 6 courses to offer, all these being full time. The prime program of this institute is the four and half year undergraduate course Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) which has an intake of One hundred students. Also, the college has five postgraduate courses and each has 3 seats for the award of degree of MD in different specialisation of Homoeopathy.

AM Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College like all other institutions does offer admission to the various programs offered subject to the standard set by the regulatory organisations. To the BHMS programme entry, NEET entrance examination is used to test and admit qualified candidates. In the same way, for postgraduate courses candidates must qualify in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET PG). They make sure that all programs admit only qualified candidates, and thus, it means that those candidates taking those tests are qualified.
