MDS Oral Pathology and Microbiology at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi Campus Offline Course

The M. D. S. in Oral Pathology & Microbiology is a three year Postgraduate program. It is the specialty of dentistry that deals with the nature, characteristics, cause, effects and diagnosis of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions and study of the immune system, which facilitates appropriate treatment of the same. The Postgraduate students are trained to attain competence in dealing with the nature of oral diseases, their causes and effects. They perform routine histopathological evaluations of specimens and also carry out routine diagnostic procedures including cytological, microbiological, other investigations and research projects. This curriculum is designed so as to enable not only academic and clinical proficiency, but also potentiate the intellectual, rational and social ability of the student, resulting in Oral Pathologists who will excel in patient care.
