36 MonthsThe M. D. S. in Ortho Dontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics is a three year Postgraduate program. Ortho Dontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics is the specialty in dentistry that focuses on the alignment of the teeth and the dental arches: the maxilla and the mandible. The practice of this specialty includes diagnosis, prevention, interception, and correction of malocclusion and other abnormalities of the developing or mature orofacial structures.
The program provides a comprehensive curriculum which prepares qualified graduates or dentists to Ortho Dontic and Dentofacial Orthopaedics specialists. The postgraduates learn a variety of treatment modalities under the tutelage of experienced teaching faculty.
Eligibility Criteria
B.D.S. degree from a recognized Dental college.
Permanent registration from any of the state Dental Councils after completion of compulsory rotating internship (Those who will complete their Internship by 30th April 2015 are also eligible to apply).
Age limit- maximum 30 years as on 31.12.2015.
Admission Details
Selection is based on the rank obtained in the Amrita Entrance Examination conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
