Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh is the oldest medical institute of the North East region. British Philanthropist Sir John Berry White, a retired brigadier of the British army and later the civil surgeon of Lakhimpur district in 1870 was instrumental in the establishment of Berry White Medical School in 1900, which become full-fledged, Govt approved Assam Medical College, in 1947.
Location: Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh is located at Barbari, Dibrugarh, Assam. Dibrugarh airport is about 13 km and Dibrugarh Railway Station is about 7 km from the AMC college. The nearest bus depot is Murlidhar Jalan Bus Terminus, which is 3 km away from the college. The college is easily accessible.

Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh offers MBBS, MD, MS, and Diploma courses in medicine. The candidates need to appear for NEET-UG for the MBBS admission and NEET-PG for the postgraduate admission.
For MBBS:
Candidates have to appear for the NEET-UG entrance exam, conducted by National Testing Academy (NTA) and obtain a valid score.
Candidates have to apply at the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam for the Assam MBBS Counselling. Once they register, they will get a login credential.
As per the login credential, they have to upload the passport size photo, certificates and digital signature. They also need to pay the admission fee.
They also have to do the document verification at designated centres.
Shortlisting of candidates will be done through the Assam MBBS Counselling based on NEET UG exam score.
The State Counselling Authorities allot 85% seats to the candidates belonging to the Assam State, and 15% seats will be allotted to candidates from the other states.
Candidates will be shortlisted for counselling rounds based on their score in the entrance exam and preferences given by them for courses and colleges.
The seat will be allotted to the candidates as per the counselling rounds.
Finally, candidates have to report to the allotted institute and complete the admission process within scheduled dates.

Facilities
Library: The Central Library of Assam Medical College has a huge collection of books - 40701 medical books out of which textbooks and reference books are 22,216 & 18,485 respectively. The library also has a collection of 9956 no. of back volumes of journals and 2602 nos of the thesis presented by the postgraduate students of the institute.
The Central Library caters to the needs of faculty members, students (PG, MBBS & B.Sc Nursing etc) and Paramedical Staffs. It has a seating capacity of 200 readers with separate reading space for the undergraduate’s students, post-graduate students and faculty members. Assam Medical College has become a member of National level ERMED Consortium (e-journals) which provide full-text access to 240 international journals.

What is current situation of bond in ASSAM MEDICAL COLLEGE, DIBRUGARH for PG candidates?
Hi,
According to the state medical council of Assam, the current bond amount for pg students is of rupees 20 lakhs and the bond duration us of 10 years.
The rule is much strict there and minimally be followed for 1.5-2 years.
Either it is no bond. .no stipend.

diploma in pharmacy is 3 years duration diploma course, eligibility criteria is you need to pass 10+2 course from a recognized education board with physics, chemistry and biology as a subject, some of the institute take admission basis on 10+2 score and some of the college take admission by state level entrance test, you need to check the official website of the college and apply.
