Nursing education in Punjab is well marked by the Baba Farid College of Nursing, based at Kotkapura founded in 1997. For clinical practice outside the college premises the college is attached with Civil Hospitals Kotkapura, Faridkot and Jaito and for community health practical with P.H.C. Panjgrain Kalan & Bajakhana.
The Nursing courses offered here are four full time courses which focuses on the different regimes of nursing education. They have two degree courses in B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing two diploma courses in General Nursing and Midwifery and Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery.
