Babasaheb Ambedkar Government Polytechnic, Tehatta, is counted amongst one of the premier technical institutes of West Bengal. Admission to this government polytechnic is done so that genuine candidates can be selected into various engineering courses.
The main admission process is based upon the entrance examination conducted by WBSCT&VE&SD. For fresh pass-outs, the candidates need to pass the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO). For admission to the second year, the Vocational Lateral Entry Test (VOCLET) is conducted.

Diploma in Computer Science and Technology: This program has 60 seats, too, and follows admission by JEXPO and VOCLET. Specific fee amounts for this program are not available as yet, but these are expected to carry similar fees above.
