Barasat Government Medical College was established in 2010 and is situated in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal and Barasat Government Medical College & Hospital is emerged as one of the budding government medical college in India. Barasat Government Medical College and Hospital currently offers one primary course: The sectional or departmental programme of University was Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). This full time undergraduate course is of six years duration including a year of compulsory rotating internship and offers a wide range of medical education and training. The college is permitted to admit 100 students for its MBBS course and this has been done to allow the institution uphold a favourable student instructor ratio for the delivery of quality education to students.
