Bells Institute of Management and Technology, was set up in 2010, located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, is an affiliated college situated in the lap of nature. This institute is located in Knowledge City, Mehli and this institute has total area of land 4 acres which provides a combination of knowledge and beauty. BIMT, essentially referred to as BIMT-Ahmedabad, offers a wide course list containing engineering, management, hospitality, and computer application. In this context, the institute offers 9 courses from 5 degree programmes to meet diverse academic needs and specialise in different fields or carreer goals. Though, the enrolment data is lacking, but BIMT envisages to deliver quality learning in an appropriate environment.

Bells Institute of Management and Technology has a range of facilities which are intended to facilitate students’ stay and learning processes. As one of the academic institutions essential for the storage of books, journal and other printed and digitalResources, the library boasts a variety of book and journals across its different fields. It is accompanied by a large reading hall for more than 170 students, a perfect atmosphere for studying and Latin disputes. Tech lovers can gauge their interest in BIMT through the fact that there are 8 well-equipped computer laboratories containing 500 system to provide max IT facilities to the students. The campus also includes different hostels for boys and girls; the boys’ hostel with capacity of accommodating about 150 students. These are homes and these are headed by wardens who ensure that the home is secure yet as comfortable as possible. 

BIMT provides a variety of programmes for its learners among which are full-time programmes include engineering, management and computer application. The B.Tech programmes belong to areas like Electronics Science and Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Civil Engineering; Electrical Engineering etc. For those who have an interest in business management the institute provides a BBA course. Besides, BIMT offers the Hotel Management (BHM), Commerce (B.Com), and Computer Applications (BCA) courses. Regarding the number of seats to be allocated for each of the programme, details are left out but the range of course shows that the institute is willing to accommodate a wide area of interest.

Like all other realms of the institute, the admission procedure of BIMT is also very sensitive and highly oriented to the merit-based system. For engineering courses the institute accepts only JEE Main score, which is an all India engineering entrance examination. Like any other institution, BIMT has a specific policy towards the admission of students, which is done in a very competitive manner to ensure that the college acquires the best students in the market while at the same time having diversity.
