Bengal Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Burdwan, is one of the most prestigious institutes for Homoeopathic Medicine in West Bengal. The admission process continues from the distribution of forms mainly on the merit list from NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam.  The real admission process in NEET would also more or less be parallel to that of NEET with the application form most likely to be deposited from February to March before the academic year concerned. In fact, for the academic year 2025, the running NEET application would probably fall on these two dates: February 6, 2025, to March 6, 2025. 

This is a date that would be important to keep in mind by aspiring applicants to guarantee filling the application accordingly. He/she will be qualified to apply for admission only after having completed 10+2 without the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The eligibility criteria have been set by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) and the Government of West Bengal. Application Process

Bengal Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital Admission Application consists of a multi-step process.

1. NEET Registration: Candidates will first register for the NEET on the official website. NEET 2025 application dates will be from February 6, 2025, until March 6, 2025.

2. NEET Examination: Candidates are to appear for the NEET examination on the scheduled date (the examination will test the knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the 10+2 level).

3. Result Declaration: Wait for the declaration of NEET results. Only those candidates who qualify in NEET shall be eligible for admission to the BHMS program.

4. State Counselling: Qualified candidates need to secure admission in the homoeopathy colleges of the state through the state counselling process conducted by the West Bengal authorities.

5. Document Verification: Candidates under consideration will be called for verification of documents. Typical document requirements include:

  • NEET Score Card
  • 10th and 12th grades, and their corresponding certificates.
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
  • Category certificate (for reserved categories).
  • Valid ID proof
  • Recent passport sized photographs

6. Seat Allotment: Eligible candidates shall be allotted seats as per the NEET Rank and document verification.

7. Fee Payment: Once the seat has been allocated, the individual will have to pay the fees to establish their admission. The total fee required for the BHMS course at the Bengal Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is approximately 6,75,000 Indian Rupees.

Admission Process Degree wise 

BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery): Bengal Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Burdwan, offers one undergraduate program-Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). This is a full-time six-year course imparting theoretical knowledge as well as practical competencies required in Homoeopathic Medicine. The college has an intake of a total of 50 seats for this program.

Admission to BHMS is done on the basis of NEET. The selected candidates are added to the NEET rank list published for selection by the college. Those who qualify in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) with valid scores can also apply for admission to the BHMS course in Bengal Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital.
