Popatrao Kisanrao Thorat College, established by Bhairavnath Shikshan Mandal is located at Khutbav, Pune, Maharashtra started its journey from the academic year 2009-2010. This co-educational college is an affiliated college, located over an area of 3.2 acres of land and is NAAC accredited. Being academically inclined, the college provides three undergraduate programmes and a total intake of 181 students. The institution is staffed with a faculty of twelve members, which means that the students at this institution enjoy one on one contact with their instructors.

To cater the food and beverages needs of the students, the college has a canteen service for those times that students need to take a pause from learning. Further, the institution has responsibility for the students’ health with a health centre with first aid facilities. 

Students at Bhairavnath Shikshan Mandal's Popatrao Kisanrao Thorat College have the option to pursue education in a variety of subjects by enrolling in one of three full-time courses. Some of these programmes include Bachelor of Commerce abbreviated (B.Com), Bachelor of Arts abbreviated (BA) and Bachelor of science abbreviated (B.Sc.). All these programs have an approved capacity of 120 students for each course, making the total capacity 360 students. All these courses give the students an opportunity to select an area of study that best correlates with their desired job and training regime as well as suites their abilities.
