Bishop’s College of Nursing, Dharapuram was started in 1991 at Tamil Nadu which is affiliated college in India. This is a large college for nursing located on a vast land of 16 acres of land to provide quality education for nurse specialization and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council. The college teaches six course work in total, spread across two degree levels, with an emphasis on both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in nursing. In terms of student strength the Bishop’s College of Nursing has a student enrolment capacity of 207 and the total faculty 16. Like any reputable institute, the one under discussion also offers different nursing programmes, namely, B.Sc Nursing, along with range of M.Sc Nursing.
The college has well equipped learning amenities that are intended to facilitate the learning process of the students. Sophisticated library has more than 4000 books; national/international journals, undergraduate /post graduate separate reading/reference area. This campus has equipped with modern laboratories; this college has a computer lab that connects to the internet for practical purposes. Accommodation for students; there is a girls’ hostel with washing places, recreation halls and round the clock water supply. There is provision for student health since there is a health centre with first aid facilities for all students in the college. A cafeteria, sports facilities in the form of a basketball court, volley ball court, tennis court, swimming pool, indoor stadium for games and seminars form the part of an ideal educational setup. Furthermore, proximal transport facilities including buses and other forms of transport are availed by the institution for clinical and communal postings by students.
A selection of nursing programmes is available to students at Bishop’s College of Nursing. It offers one undergraduate programme B. Sc. Nursing with an intake capacity of fifty students and five postgraduate programme in various specilisation with an intake capacity of four students each. These are M.Sc in Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing. All offered programmes are complete time, and intentioned to set in service the in-depth cognition in distinct section of nursing. Total student intake across all programs is seventy, we continue to offer quality education with the aim of having controlled class sizes.
The admission requirements of Bishop’s College of Nursing is based on merit and the process follows a sequence. Candidates who want to take B.Sc Nursing must complete an application form and attach necessary documents. It goes to candidates that appear on the merit lists presented by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu. Candidates other than the HSC are expected to secure an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University.

The intake for B.Sc Nursing at Bishop's College of Nursing is 50 students. The process of admission includes filling up of application forms along with xerox copies of certificates. Non-HSC candidates have to submit an Eligibility certificate during admission from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. Admission is based on merit lists as given by the DME. The division of seats will be equal for both management quota (50%) and government quota (50%) through DME, Tamil Nadu.

Bishop's College of Nursing offers five M.Sc Nursing specializations:
