BLDEA’S Smt.Bangaramma Sajjan Arts and Commerce College for women Vijayapur Karnatak established in 1983 the college is one of the reputed and leading colleges for women education in Karnataka. The affiliated college is in Vijayapur and occupies an area of 7 acres with NAAC accreditation. Currently the college has 5 courses and degrees in arts, commerce, and computer application field. It has 855 student and 40 faculty members and hence has a satisfactory student teacher ratio. This favourable condition indicates that the college provides quality programmes and quality facilities in delivery of educational services.

The BLDEA’S Smt.Bangaramma Sajjan Arts and Commerce College has several facilities which help in the total teaching and learning process of the learners as a college. The library, a cornerstone of academic resources, is fully computerised and remains open from 8:Daily from 00 AM to 3 PM with books, Newspapers, magazines and journals in different languages. For sports lovers the college have all the necessary facilities and some of the facilities are – Here at college we have fully equipped Gymnasium equipment costing up to Rs 3 lakhs which is aided by Central Ministry of Sports. There is also basketball and volleyball court with flood lightning for extra curricula games for students to engage in different indoor and outdoor games. The IT infrastructure is well developed to enable students perform their academic activities using up to date technologies. A girls hostel with a total capacity of one hundred and six students provide comfortable accommodation with a TV room with the provision of indoor and outdoor sports. 

Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Arts and Commerce College for Women of BLDEA has in total, established five full-time courses in different disciplines. Many of the programmes offered are underlined as follows: Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Master of Commerce (M.Com). These courses focus to different academic fields and or career paths.

Admissions in Smt: B.C.S.B.A & C College, Bellary are open to all and the college provides admission on merit basis. This is achieved by the college being a women only college hence ensuring that it provides for the women’s education needs satisfactorily without having to deal with male interference. The college boasts of having registered graduates with over seven hundred who are now placed in different stations, thus providing a testimony of the college in creating employment for women in every field.
