BN Degree College, Shahabad, came into existence in 2000 with an affiliated status and campus size of 20 acres in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. The college has to its credit a variety of 17 courses at the degree level for 12 different programs. Total student enrolment is 349, while faculty strength is 26, and maintains a good student-teacher ratio.

The college has full-time courses in faculties of Arts (BA), Science (B.Sc), Commerce (B.Com), Law (LLB), Education (B.Ed., M.Ed, D.El.Ed), Management (MBA), Pharmacy (B.Pharma, M.Pharma), Agriculture (B.Sc Agriculture), Computer Science (B.Sc Computer Science), and Nursing (B.Sc Nursing), among many others. Besides these, the college offers postgraduate programmes like MA in Urdu and Geography and M.Sc in Chemistry. D.El.Ed. programme can admit 50 students.

Admissions at BN Degree College differs from various courses. Admissions at the B.Ed and Med courses are based on merit; marks in the qualifying examination and entrance examination are evaluated based on the state government and university policies. An applicant for an MBA program must hold a 3 years' Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved categories). Admissions in the D.El.Ed course are conducted on a merit basis, considering the marks at the qualifying examination and other selection criteria which may be laid down by the State Government/UT Administration.
