Bongaigaon Polytechnic, established in 1986, is one of the premier technical institutes in Bongaigaon. This affiliated college was approved by AICTE and offers quality education in engineering streams. The institute has a sprawling 97-acre campus with an atmosphere congenial for learning and growth. With a total intake of 320 students and a faculty strength of 9, personal care and attention are assured to each of its students at Bongaigaon Polytechnic. The institute offers three specialized diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Automobile Engineering. 

The institutes have a wide array of facilities to enhance the learning experience of the students within the premises. The departmental library, which covers an area of 302 square meters, has a wide range of resources with a comfortable reading facility accommodating 25 students at a time. Bongaigaon Polytechnic also boasts well-equipped laboratories, each being unique to the needs of the department concerned, which help the students get practical experience in their related fields of study. The auditorium meant for events and seminars adds to the overall vibrancy of the academic environment at the college. This campus has a cafeteria, sports facilities, and a health center with first-aid help on campus for the students' convenience. It provides separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls so that outstation students are assured of a safe and comfortable living environment. 

Bongaigaon Polytechnic offers a total of three full-time diploma courses, each with a duration of three years. The total approved intake of all programs together is 120 students. The institute offers the highest intake in Civil Engineering, with 60 seats, while both Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Automobile Engineering offer 30 seats each. These courses will provide strong fundamental knowledge to the students in their respective fields, enabling them to succeed in the engineering sector.
