BP Mandal College of Engineering happens to be an institutional setup rather young in age. This college, started in the year 2016, came up to became one of the known presences in the field of engineering education in Bihar. The affiliated college is spread over a sprawling 10-acre campus in Madhepura with a conducive atmosphere for learning and growth. AICTE approved, BPMCE is coming up as a co-educational institute admitting aspiring engineers from whatever walk of life. There is a total enrolment of 988 students in the college, while the faculty strength is 18 faculty, making it very healthy for a student-teacher ratio not exceeding the optimum strength, thus ensuring personalized attention and quality education.

BPMCE has to its name multifarious facilities that go a long way to support entirely rounded and all-encompassing college experiences. Separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. BPMCE now offers six undergraduate engineering programs as part of the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree. The full-time programs will vary from traditional to the emerging fields of engineering and will cater to diverse interests and industry requirements. Its total intake capacity for students for all its various B.Tech programs is 300, which goes on to show the great commitment that this college has toward the development of a considerable number of engineering talents each year. 

The admission is mostly through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination conducted by BCECE. This exam is the gate pass to aspirants who regularly enroll in the different engineering disciplines under the programs offered by BPCE in its campus. BCECE is conducted at the state level, scheduled normally in April or May of every year. 100% student population of BPMCE is from Bihar state itself, which by itself becomes a highlight of the significant role the college plays in the local student community in delivering quality technical education. Distribution by gender indicates 87% male student population against 13% female student population, which clearly shows the need for a better gender spread from the college.
