Brajrajnagar College was set up in the year 1978 it is an affiliated college situated in Odisha at the town of Brajrajnagar. Located on a 12 acre campus, the institution provides a wide and diversified array of courses/programmes leading to the award of the bachelor’s degree in the faculties of arts, science and commerce. It caters to a total of 979 students and has a faculty of 18, which makes it easy for the students to learn in an appropriate environment. It is affiliated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and therefore is very keen on quality performance. The college provides 15 subjects for 6 degrees, giving students a choice in what they want to study and what they plan on doing later in life.

Brajrajnagar College has some of the best facilities to complement the learning of the students with what they are going through in class. The B.C. Naik Library was set up in 1980 and today it is adequately stocked with reference books, course materials and honours journals. The college also has very good IT related facilities, sporting amenities, and a hall for meetings, seminars, etc. For practical learning there is departmental accommodation with provision for different subjects. The campus has a restaurant where the staff and students can take their meals; there is also a health facility with a first aid section. In particular, there is a well-furnished girls’ hostel, accommodating thirty students, built with the involvement of RUSA money to support female students.

Brajrajnagar College consists of fifteen programmes all of which are constituted as full-time programmes. The courses range through the different faculties, such as Arts, Science and Commerce. These are BA with 256, B.Sc with 128 and B.Com with 48 seats of students. Admission to these honours courses is also available in subjects such as Economics, Education, English, History, Odia, Political Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and also in Zoology, the intake capacity of each honours subject is discussed below.
