MODAK CPA is an affiliated college new and it was established in 2010, located at Modankap, Bantwal, Karnataka. Spread in a small area of 4.53 acres, this institution provides a specialised environment to its students. The college currently enrols 143 students, and is staffed by a teaching faculty of 13 members. Carmel College provides two undergraduate programmes: Two full time three-year programmes, namely the Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com) and the Bachelor in Business Administration( BBA). Despite being a young college it has been slowly and systematically developing itself in terms of commerce and business education.

The college boast of the many facilities provided by the college with an aim of improving students’ comfort. Out of all resources identified, it is the library that has valuable resources, good books and journals to support academics. The students interested in indulging in extra-curricular activities specially games and sports have at their disposition well developed play fields feasible for various sporting activities, badminton court, Volleyball court, Throwball court etc. It also follows technological developments with it facilities possessing over thirty computers in internet laboratories; making sure the student masters the facet of information technology. An auditorium is used for occasions and lectures thereby enhancing the students’ life in the university. The college also has faculty wise departmental laboratory, well-equipped class rooms, first aid facility available in the college health center a blend of good educational infrastructure.

In as far as academic specialization is concerned, Carmel College, an affiliated College of Mangalore University, Mangalore, offers two main undergraduate programmes in commerce and business. The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) equip students in different fields of commerce while the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme for 60 studentslights together with directions and facilities over business management. Both these full-time courses delivered to the students enable them to acquire understanding and pragmatic competencies necessary for global business environments. Through focusing on these two programmes, the college is positioned for specialising and offering deeper knowledge in commerce and business.
