Center for Spatial Information Technology is one of the key constituents at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, that was set up in 1992. SRR & CVR College of Engineering is a constituent college in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, and offers specialised geospatial technologies. CSIT, on the other hand, provides direction with its core programme being the Master of Technology in Spatial Information Technology. Center for Spatial Information Technology, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University focuses on postgraduate education, offering a single, specialised course: Postgraduate Master in Technology in Spatial Information Technology. The two-year, full-time programme has the approved student intake of eighteen students to maintain the high teacher-student ratio and the quality of teaching the centre offers. The premise of the course is to familiarise students with leading-edge tools that will be necessary to deal with tasks connected to geospatial technologies, in preparation for working in this quickly developing sphere.
The admission process of the M.Tech programme of CSIT is organised and rigorous at the same time.
