CIPET Bhopal, an institute of national importance was established in the year 1988. This institute is situated at the Govindpura Industrial Area of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, India and mainly focuses quality education in the area of petrochemicals engineering and technology. The institute occupies a rural campus area of 6 acres which accommodate a variety of facilities for academics and co-curricular. Having 29 efficient and committed faculty members, CIPET Bhopal presently provides total 4 specialisation programmes under 1 course of Degree programme in the field of plastics technology and its affiliated sectors.
Being the CIPET of Bhopal, it is focused to ensure to ensure provision of conscious learning platform to the students. On the basis of affiliation, the institute ensures availability of various amenities that can improve academic standards as well as personal development. The library is a center of knowledge and learning and boasts of over three thousand, five hundred and twenty two books, journals, periodicals and references.

To develop the hands-on training, they have equipped some laboratories with high-technological instruments where students practice on equipment of industries.
