Situated in Gandhinagar, District Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the Centre for Studies in Rural Management, Gujarat Vidyapith, was established in the year 1988. Having an area of 21 acres, this approved AICTE institution offers three specialised courses in rural management. With a faculty strength of 4, reflecting a diverse gender ratio of 69% male and 31% female students. 

The Centre for Studies in Rural Management has a number of facilities that help improve the learning experience for the students. The institute provides separate hostels for boys and girls, equipped with modern amenities such as internet connectivity, dining halls, and recreation rooms. The Central Library at Randheja campus houses a collection of books, journals, and e-resources pertaining to various disciplines related to rural development and management. An up-to-date modern computer centre with 90 nodes is also available for practising advanced software and connecting to the internet 24 hours a day. 

The Centre at present offers three full-time courses in Rural Management, aiding to different levels of higher education. It has one flagship programme: the MBA in Rural Management, which has an approved enrolment of 32 students. There is also an M.Phil and Ph.D. programme in Rural Management for those seeking advanced research pursuits. The courses in all programmes are designed with an aim of allowing their students to get into the inherent aspects of rural development issues and management strategies. 

The merit-based selection to the MBA Rural Management course comes with an objective type written test that consist of Gandhian thoughts and general knowledge, a group discussion on rural development issues, and personal interviews.
