Christ College, Bhopal was set up in 2001 and is an affiliated college situated at Anand Nagar, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This is a co-educational institution located on a 2-acre campus and is duly recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE. This college provides 4 courses for undergraduate and postgraduate level completing the total enrolment of 69 students as the following: B. Ed., M. Ed., B.A., B.Com. The faculty members consist of 16 engaging teachers, which enables the college to maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio. The areas of specialisation of the institution are Education, Arts, and Commerce to meet the students ‘diversified needs.

The available and accessible infrastructure at Christ College gives a broad perspective that seeks to improve the learning needs and circumstances of the learners. The school has spacious laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer, Mathematics, Social, Language, Psychology. These labs offer the student practical experience and real working knowledge. In the college library section, there are books representing 7,189; these refer to specialized books for B.Ed and M.Ed courses and extended general and reference books. For technological requirements, the institution has an advanced computer laboratory with 30 computers and interconnectivity through the Local area network internet connection is always available. This will also enable the students to have a free Wi-Fi connection on the entire campus. The college encourages students to maintain physical health with several sports amenities of a football ground, cricket ground, volleyball court, basketball court, badminton court, gymnasium and many more. It also notes that both male and female students, if they are from out of town, enjoy hostel accommodations which should further enhance their living and learning experience.

The institute imparts a total of four full-time courses wherein the student can opt for courses across different fields of their choice. The programme with the highest admission capacity is B.Ed with 100; followed by the programmes in BA and B.Com with 60 each and M.Ed with fifty places only. All these programmes are conducted in a standard, daytime, full-time mode, that allows the students to work during the evening if needed. In all the courses offered, the college can admit 270 students and this has enabled the college to surrender itself to small-scale class tuition to enhance effective learning. Information on the current number of graduates is lacking however clear from the college course offerings is the emphasis on quality education especially in teacher training as well as in arts and commerce undergraduate levels.

Admission procedures followed at this institution differ according to the program offered at Christ College Bhopal. B.Ed as a programme is managed and admission is regulated by the Higher Education Department of the State Government of Madhya Pradesh. The M.Ed program admissions are merit-based the candidates should have minimum markings in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as per the policy of the State Government and the University. The admission criteria for BA and B. Com are discussed and Admissions are strictly merit-based depending on the college admission policies.
