      College Infrastructure

As a student, I find the infrastructure of Christ College Cuttack to be decent overall, but it clearly has some drawbacks, especially when it comes to outdated equipment. The campus itself is quite spacious and peaceful, with a lot of greenery that creates a calm and comfortable environment for studying. However, many of the classroom facilities such as benches, blackboards, and other basic equipment feel old and worn out, which can sometimes affect the overall classroom experience. The labs and library are functional and serve their purpose, but they are not very modern or advanced compared to what you might expect from top-tier institutions. That said, one of the biggest strengths of the college is its faculty. The teachers are highly supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to helping students understand concepts clearly. Their teaching quality often makes up for the lack of modern infrastructure, and they play a major role in maintaining a positive academic environment. Another strong point is the hostel facilities, which are comparatively well-maintained and comfortable. Unlike the classrooms, the hostels feel more updated and provide a decent living experience for students. Overall, while the infrastructure, especially classroom equipment, could definitely use improvement, the excellent teachers and good hostel facilities help balance things out, making the overall student experience satisfactory.

      Academics

As a student of Christ College Cuttack, I would say that the college does have most of the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment required for academics and student life, but there are some clear areas that need improvement. The classrooms have basic facilities like benches, blackboards, fans, and lighting, but many of these are quite old. The blackboards are sometimes broken or have small cracks, which can make them difficult to use, and the benches are also old and occasionally cracked. The fans are functional but tend to run a bit slow, especially during hotter days, which can be uncomfortable. Although these issues exist, the classrooms are generally kept clean and hygienic. The laboratories are available for different subjects and have the required equipment for practical work, even if not very modern. The library is one of the strongest aspects of the college, with a great collection of books and a good study environment. The college also provides WiFi, which is surprisingly fast and useful for students. There is a good canteen on campus that offers decent food options, and overall hygiene in common areas is maintained well. Sports facilities like a playground and indoor games are available and used by students. Hostel facilities are also decent and comparatively better maintained than the classrooms. The living spaces are fairly clean, and the food provided is generally hygienic, though it may feel average in taste at times. Overall, while the infrastructure is somewhat outdated in places, the college does provide all essential facilities, and cleanliness, good WiFi, and a strong library make the experience satisfactory.

      Placements

I am currently studying B.Com Honours at Christ College Cuttack, mainly as a side course while focusing more on my CMA preparation. I chose this course because it complements my main goal and helps me build a strong foundation in commerce. The quality of teaching is decent, and the teachers are quite helpful and supportive when it comes to clearing doubts and explaining concepts. I believe the curriculum is updated and covers all the important subjects with proper balance according to their relevance. It provides a good understanding of core commerce topics which are useful for both academics and professional exams. Overall, what I study here does contribute towards making me job ready, especially when combined with my CMA studies, as it strengthens both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding.

      Value for Money

As I am currently in my second year at Christ College Cuttack, I have not yet completed my course, so I do not have direct experience with the final placement process. Because of this, I cannot accurately comment on the exact percentage of students placed, the highest salary package, or the average salary offered. However, many students, including myself, have already started gaining practical experience through internships. At present, I am doing an internship in a CA firm, which is helping me understand real world applications of what I study. The college is generally supportive when it comes to academics and guiding students, though placement related experience will be clearer in the final year. Overall, while I cannot fully comment on placements yet, the focus on internships is helping us prepare for future job opportunities.

      Others

The cost of my course is around 20000 per year, which I find quite reasonable compared to many other colleges.I do feel that I am getting my money’s worth because the teachers are really supportive and helpful, especially when it comes to clearing doubts and guiding us in our studies. While the infrastructure may not be very modern, the quality of teaching and the overall academic support make the fees worth it.Overall,it is a good balance between affordability and the value provided by the college
