College of Agriculture, Raichur was established in 1984 and is a constituent College of Veterinary, Animal & Fishery Sciences, University of Agriculture, Bangalore Karnataka, India. This co-educational institute is situated in Raichur and has the pin code of 584102 and it has been working for future of agriculture since nearly last 39 years. The college is recognised by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the college offers a wide option of courses in the field of agricultural sciences. There are 42 faculty members which are highly qualified professionals working in the field of agriculture and this gives the institution the necessary strength to support qualified agriculturists. 

The College of Agriculture, Raichur has various facilities which makes easy for all students of the college to enjoy their academic activities. College library is well equipped to meet the information needs of students with lots of literature and research documentations on agriculture. Modern and well-equipped laboratories besides many other available instruments and techniques provide practical sessions in various disciplines of agriculture. The College of Agriculture Raichur has a total of nine courses which include undergraduate and doctorate programmes. The flagship programme is B.Sc Agriculture Hons and it is a full time under graduate programme. At the doctoral level, the college offers Ph.D. programmes in eight specialised fields: Agricultural Entomology, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Extension Education, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Seed Sciences and Technology and Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. All these programmes are on full time basis and take 6 years to complete for the Ph.D courses. The fact that these programmes are so diverse speaks volumes about the advanced stage of both agricultural research and education, the college is at.
