College of Applied Science, Thodupuzha (CAS Thodupuzha) is affiliated college and it was started in the year of 2000 in Thodupuzha, a beautiful town in central Kerala. This institution a few acres of land only five acres and aims at delivering quality education in the areas of computer science electronics and commerce streams. CAS Thodupuzha intake students 239, and faculty count is merely 14 thus it can be declared that students get an individualistic education. As of now, the college has supplied 4 courses in three programmes of study that embrace a range of new and emergent fields desired in today’s advanced technological society.

Established CAS Thodupuzha has numerous amenities to facilitate and enrich the studying process of its students. College library has enlarged collection of books and other studying materials connected with electronics and computer science, so student may use it for their purpose. The well developed computer lab is containing latest technologies and the students of every class are capable to use software required for their courses. Also, scanning, printing and photocopying services are available in the lab to satisfy all the needs of students. Out of all the laboratories devised in the new campus, Electronics laboratory distinguishes itself since it gives practical sessions to the students in Analog and Digital Circuit Design, Communication, Instrumentation and Control, Embedded systems, VLSI Technologies, among others. These labs are updated with time depending on the fast growing technology market today.

The college enrolls and provides a wide number of full courses for students with various academic preferences. For the undergraduate level there are B.Com in Computer Applications, B.Sc in Computer Science, and B.Sc in Electronics. For those who would wish to advance their studies, the college provides Masters courses in Master of Science in Computer Science and Electronics.

The eligibility criteria for admissions to CAS Thodupuzha is mostly based on merit, so that the right candidates get into the right programme. For undergraduate courses the selection is done according to the merit list obtained from the academic performance in 12th standard or equivalent examination. Likewise, in postgraduate courses, entrance depends on the performance of the candidates in their corresponding bachelor’s programme.
