The College of Education, Kharod, was started in the year 1991, and it is affiliated. This co-educational institution is located in Kharod of Gujarat. The institute is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, and thus offers quality teacher education. The compact 8-acre campus offers a focused learning environment to the aspiring educators. The total enrolment of students in the institute is 104, with a faculty strength of 6, thus maintaining a very positive student-to-teacher ratio that is highly conducive for individual attention and guidance. 

Various facilities are provided that enable the students to grow and develop further. The library acts as a learning hub that stocks 3,246 books and titles. It also has 175 reference materials in the form of encyclopedias, dictionaries, and reports. There is a reading room within the library that has a sitting capacity of 25 and is well suited for study and research. At the college level, there are subject-based laboratories that are maintained to encourage hands-on learning. There is also a big playground and volleyball and basketball courts for physical fitness and the recreation of the students. The campus has made available an auditorium for events and seminars. The lively campus life is very evident in the campus. Of special mention, a Digital Education and Learning Laboratory has been set up with 26 computers that would integrate technology in the learning process. 

Teacher Education is the only concern of the College of Education, Kharod. The B.Ed. course is the prime course of the college. This is a full-time two-year program and would lead the students towards successful teaching practice. 

The admission process of the B.Ed. course in College of Education, Kharod, is centralized through Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. So, interested candidates have to apply through this centralized admission procedure under IITE, Gandhinagar. Here, admission shall be based on the merits and entrance examination performance of the applicants.
