Deccan Education Society was established in the year 2004 at Gulbarga, Karnataka, India. It has a vast suburban area,and it has been a well-developed institution. The NCTE approved co-educational affiliated college offers only teacher education programmes and focuses on teacher education. The college is affiliated with Gulbarga University. Located on a very constrained piece of land of half an acre off Ring Road close to Sonia Gandhi Quarters, the institute has a suite of courses in education. The college takes 198 students and has a total of 16 faculties, which helps the college to maintain a small environment for learning. The institution offers 4 courses in 3 degree programmes and offers B, M and D Education degrees to students who seek to be educators.

This college has other institutions that offer supplemental service with regard to the learning requirements of learners. Academic: The library is a resource centre where all the needs of an academic endeavour can be met. For the persons interested in exercises and recreation, there are amenities for sports and games meant to encourage physical and extracurricularactivities. A well-developed college’s IT structure offers students access to means of communication with modern educational equipment to help also prepare them for a digital age of learning. A campus has an auditorium where several occasions and seminars occur, making a spectacular learning environment. More specifically, the institution provides hostels for male and female students for out-of-station students to ensure they comfortably concentrate on their studies.

The deccan education society gulbarga offers four complete time courses in the education stream. Some of these courses are B.Ed, B.Ed for Women, M.Ed and D.Ed. The courses we are offering are B.Ed, B.Ed for women, M.Ed & D.Ed. Each course has been provided some specific number of seats; For B.Ed & B.Ed for women, there are 100 seats each, and for M.Ed & D.Ed, there are 50 seats each. All the courses are designed as two-year full-time programmes so as to provide adequate preparation for the future teachers. The current number of students in all the courses reaches 300 to ensure that the institute maintains its standard in offering quality education alongside offering reasonable class sizes.

Gulbarga students in the Deccan Education Society accept students based on performance in the previous qualifying exams and/or entrance tests. For the B.Ed programme, the admissions will be given merit in the qualifying examination, entrance test/examination or any other mode as per the government of the respective state, UT & this university norms. Likewise, in the case of admission to the M. Ed programme the admission is done on merit, with weights being given to the marks awarded in the qualifying examinations, entrance examinations or any other process spelt out by the state government, university or UT administration.
