The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Government Post Graduate College was founded in 1993, Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh and is an Affiliated College. This is a government university located on a 4.08-hectare land it hosts a numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) , which makes the college shows its concern towards quality education. Further, the college has an information technology infrastructure, a canteen, and a student facility centre that offer servicing facilities such as a photocopy centre, Internet application, and other services. The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Government Post Graduate College provides a total of 5 courses which include full-time only. These include three bachelor’s degrees and one master’s degree programmes; they include BA, B.Com, and B.Sc and M.Com respectively. The college has a total approved admission capacity of seven hundred and ten seats in all courses offered by the college. 

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Government Post Graduate College has made its admission policy with complete focus on equal opportunity and merit. Hostel admissions in the college also occur as per the government norms, 70 percent of the hostel accommodation is provided to the SC/ST students and the remaining thirty percent are given for other students based on merit. It also democratised access to opportunity to students across the various demographics.
