Department of Computer Applications is a constituent college at Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag, started in 2007, which strives to focus on delivering quality education in computers for its students. Located in Hazaribag, Jharkhand, this AICTE-approved institution offers two full-time programmes: Masters of Computer Applications (MCA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA).

Students of Department of Computer Applications avail the number of facilities that further helps them in learning. The post graduate college library original eclectic accumulation comprises four thousand books, while having subscriptions to national and international journals for the postgraduate students. Up-to-date information concerning technological advancement is incorporated in e-journals, and updated books.  Wireless connectivity enhances the acquisition of information from the internet across the campus. The Department of Computer Applications offers two comprehensive courses: Master of Computer Applications which is a 2-year course and Bachelor of Computer Applications course of 3 year duration. Both are full time, On-Campus programme aimed at imparting theoretical and practical knowledge of usage of computers.
