Department for Instrumentation Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University, was established in 1991 and is one of the leading constituent colleges of the Maharashtra offering the degree of Instrumentation Science. This department located on Ganeshkhind Road is committed to taking forward the subject of instrumentation science. With a focus on postgraduate and doctoral studies, the department offers two programmes, M.Sc. Instrumentation Science and Ph.D. Instrumentation Science.

Many facilities are in place at the Department of Instrumentation Science to improve the learning process of students. The two courses offered by the Department for Instrumentation Science is two, aimed at different level of academic achievement. The M.Sc. Instrumentation Science is a course done over two years with an intake capacity of 45 students for each year to offer postgraduate training in the field.
