The University college of Studies in Computer Science started in 1986 at the University of Mysore is a constituent college situated in Mysore, Karnataka. This prestigious college, recognised with All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE], New Delhi, involvement provides valuable array of computer science courses available for postgraduate as well as doctoral level. The department has a faculty of four professional members who offer optimal student client ratio as well as state-of-the-art facilities for both learning and research in computer science.

For student interested in research the department also offers M.Phil and Ph.D. courses in Computer Science. The programmes offered by the department namely, M.Tech in Computer Science and Technology and M.Tech in Computer Cognition and Technology have an approved intake capacity of 15 and 9, respectively, to ensure that the department admits only a limited number of students per class for better faculty to student ratio necessary for proper education delivery.
