Desh Bhagat University School of Law, Gobindgarh started in 2014 is one of the constituent colleges in Punjab, at Fatehgarh Sahib. Being the co-educational institution, this university is also recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and offers several types of legal education. Currently, it has a faculty of twelve skilled people, and it offers eight different courses conducted across six degree levels in the field of law. Legal education is well captured in the institute’s curriculum which entails various basic fields of legal studies as well as other modern disciplines.

Desh Bhagat University School of Law provides many facilities that aim to improve the education of its students. The computerised library is also resourcefully endowed to avail the mass of the legal aids and literature. Moot Court – the latest addition to the legal infrastructure of the University has prepared students, giving them real experience of the actual proceedings of the court sessions. Desh Bhagat University School of Law offers 8 full time programmes.These are courses offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and at the doctoral level in law. LLB and BA LLB (Hons) are the two prime pitches of the institute where every course has an approved strength of 60 students. Others are LLM, M.Phil in Law, Ph.D. in Law and several postgraduate diploma courses in different specialisations including Cyber Law, Criminal Justice, and Forensics and Intellectual Property Rights. These different programmes respond to diverse interests of students within the legal field and allow the students to develop their focus on newly explored subfields of law.
