Deshapran College of Teachers Education, located at Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, is one of the institutions that eventually builds up the future of education. A co-educational college, it was established in the year 2009; with a compact area of 1 acre. It provides a focused-learning-friendly atmosphere to the 291 enrolled students with 14 faculty and experienced educators. Deshapran College of Teachers Education is an affiliated college and earned its accreditations by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

The college has endowed many facilities which are given out to improve the learning experience and complete growth of our students. These centers have at their hub a well-stocked library with an array of 3,526 books. For the sports-minded, there are facilities available for both indoor and outdoor games, in conjunction with a gym for those who care to keep physically fit. These shall be supplemented with well-equipped laboratories for practical teacher training. Much importance is laid on the integration of technology through an excellent IT infrastructure which shall help the future educator in embracing technology without a hitch. Other facilities include refreshment facilities through a cafeteria, health center with first-aid services, auditorium for programs and seminars, guest rooms for visiting faculty, and family members.

Two full-time courses in the field of education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels are an offering of Deshapran College of Teachers Education. The B.Ed course will provide a strong base to students who intend to be the future teachers of the nation. Besides this, the institution offer M.Ed course to enhance the educational expertise. 

The admission procedure to the Deshapran College of Teachers Education is strictly based on merit, which has always upheld the high educational standard of the institution. The admission to the B.Ed. is made on the base of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Other methods of selection may also be made use of by the college at the discretion based upon the policies of the State Government or Union Territory administration or the affiliated University. Admission to the M.Ed. further includes the performance in the qualifying examination, entrance test, or any other selection procedure as may be prescribed by the competent authority.
