Dev Samaj College for Girls, Ambala, was established in the year 1948. The affiliated college, spread over an area of 4 acres, is exclusively meant to impart quality education to girl students. In this college, a total of 258 students are enrolled with a faculty strength of 14. The college offers two major undergraduate courses, Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) and Bachelor of Arts (BA), which are full-time three-year courses.

Equipped with all kinds of modern facilities, Dev Samaj College for Girls enriches the all-round education of the students. The library is one of the important academic resources. It has more than 37,360 books, subscribes to 2 journals, provides access to 7 newspapers, and 9 magazines. These provide an ideal atmosphere for individual study through separate cabins. The laboratories in Home Science are well-furnished and ultra-modern in nature so as to provide practical work experience in cooking, stitching, embroidery, knitting, and home management. The technology-based learning at the college is fulfilled by a fully air-conditioned Computer laboratory with a sitting capacity of 50 students with the latest configuration systems.

The two undergraduate courses offered by Dev Samaj College for Girls are B.Com and BA. These courses are of three years duration and on a full-time basis. 

This college follows an entirely merit-based admission policy as laid down through its admission procedure. Admission to these two courses is strictly on a first-come-first-served basis. Admission in Dev Samaj College for Girls is very easy and purely merit-based. The first-come-first-served admission procedure is the same for both B.Com and BA courses, wherein academic merit is the only thing taken into consideration.
