Founded in the year 2004, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Education, Perambalur is a college for men and women providing teacher education. Affiliated to the Good Shepherd College / University, it is situated is at Tamil Nadu and has a covered area of about 6 acres. The library is a knowledge centre with more than 15000 publications of various types textbooks, reference books and Indian and foreign journals. The students have modern practical centres for physical science, biological science, mathematics, and computer laboratories where they conduct practical experiments and research. The college offers the boys’ hostel and the girls’ hostel, which offer the facility of dinning halls, gymnasiums, cyber cafes etc. There is a large fully air conditioned hall with a seating capacity of 300 that is used during various academic activities and other cultural activities. Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Education also considered the Students’ welfare through provision of health facilities through a Doctors’ clinic in case of emergencies and a canteen for detainees in cases of fatigue.
Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Education offers two full-time courses: are a Bachelors in Education (B Educ) and a Masters in Education (M Educ). Both courses take two years to complete, at the end of which the students obtain an adequate knowledge of educational theories and practices.
