Dhanbad Teacher’s Training College is an affiliated college started in 2012 at Gopalganj, GT Road, Nirsha, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. This co-ed college, that occupies a total area of 1 acres, is established for preparing future educators. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education and offering two dedicated programmes in teacher education. The institute enrolment of 264 students and it is staffed with 23 faculty members that make an ideal students-faculty ratio, thus students are offered close attention and quality education.

Dhanbad Teacher’s Training College has several facilities put in place in a bid to improving the learning environment for the students. Quite often, a good library with ample resources for teachers in training can be viewed as an essential centre for making the necessary preparation. The college has sports facilities which allows the students to have a healthy body and mind as well as unity among students. Dhanbad Teacher's Training College offers two full-time courses, Bachelors in Education (B.E.d) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El .Ed). B.Ed which has an approved annual intake capacity of one hundred students is a two year course leading to the preparation of graduate to teach in secondary schools. The D.El.Ed Program has the capacity of 50 Students. Altogether, these programmes make a college total enrolment of two hundred sixty-four students as the college aims to produce competent educators for all levels of learning.

The policy for admitting students at Dhanbad Teacher’s Training College depends on the performance of the candidate in qualifying exams and or entrance examinations. In case of B.Ed programme, the admission process is based on the rules of the State Government / U.T. Administration and the University. For D.El.Ed, the admissions standards are as per the norms prescribed by the State Government or UT Administration.
