Dharma Devi Badri Prasad Smarak Mahavidyalaya was established in 2009 as an only women college affiliated with selection, located in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This institution for both males and females occupies a campus space of 2.5 acres. The institution provides for diverse courses. Greatest strength: The college has been able to accommodate a total of 1,480 students and has a qualified faculty of seventeen. The institution is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in order to assure the quality of its teacher training courses. Having 6 courses in 5 degree programmes, the college is able to provide education for various interests represented by arts, sciences, and education. The college has many facilities that aim at improving students experiences in the college. 

Dharma Devi Badri Prasad Smarak Mahavidyalaya, Sultanpur  is affiliated with the college  Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad. The library constitutes a pivotal part of its academic facilities, which includes more than 20,000 subject books and various journals, namely Vigyan Pragati, Mathematics Today, Physics Today, and Chemistry Today. There are also daily activities that give the students a treasure trove of data that is only a fingertip away. The issue of practical learning in the college is well illustrated by the fact that the college has well-equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, and botany that facilitate practical learning in those fields. It is mandatory for the student to practice at least one game to ensure the student embraces the noble culture of practicing games and sports. The college also encourages annual sports competitions that also foster a spirit of rivalry among students. Dharma Devi Badri Prasad Smarak Mahavidyalaya has computerised facilities for students to be aware of the facility of IT regarding their new inventions. Computer studies is taught to all students as a computer education program from the qualified tutors in the computer department. 

In the context of the academic programmes, Dharma Devi Badri Prasad Smarak Mahavidyalaya has a combination of degree and master’s degree programmes. The following six courses are being taught as full-time courses in the college: BA Self Finance, B.Sc., Self Finance, MA Hindi Self Finance (MA) Home Science Self Finance—B.Ed. Self Finance—D.El.Ed. Self Finance. B.Ed. programme has the permitted intake capacity of 100 candidates and D.El.Ed. programme has the permitted intake capacity of fifty candidates. These courses meet definite and diverse academic needs and prepare students for their subsequent further steps. 

The admission procedure concerning this college differs according to the programmes offered as follows: In B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programmes, admission policy strictly comes under merit where out of credit system percentage and entrance test percentage are considered. The college operates under the selection policies laid down by the state government and the university. Aside from academics, the college through its sports facilities, also aims at overall development. For different types of sports, the College Sports Council organises athletics, hockey, football, volleyball, cricket, badminton and for kabaddi.
