Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya of women’s college was established in 1975 in the town of Dhenkanal, Odisha and is affiliated to the Utkal University. As this school occupies 10 acre of land it has aims and objective in offering quality education to female students only. The college has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India, which shows that College has set higher standards for its academic achievements. The college has 701 students and 18 faculty members and it provides 13 courses of four kinds of degrees. Specializations include Arts and Science; the Odia language, Home Science, economics, and political science.
The college has also developed various amenities that can complement the learning process of students in the college. Facilities such as an automated library with computerized open stack on the first floor provides collection of reference books, journals, textbooks, previous years’ question papers etc. Members and students have access to the attached reading room with internet facilities for research to enhance their studying. Overall according to money it's good and a good environment.

No the college don't have the necessary infrastructure as well as they don't have proper practical instruments so the students can't perform any practical there. The classes don't have wifi, no smart board. No well maintained lab . Most important no washroom facilities are there. The washrooms are very unhygienic and dirty. The students who come from very far they face a lot of problems. The cows are moving here and there in the campus and they sometimes attack to the students.
