The Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar (DDCE) is a constituent college which was established in 1996. This institute is situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha and having motive to impart the quality of distance education to their students. Located on 15 acres of land, DDCE provides 17 courses across 8 major programs to meet students’ multiple academic needs. The institute is firmly established with a team of efficient faculties 22 in number, which makes it easier to give more than adequate attention to our students and thus provide the best quality education to shape them.
DDCE is proud to provide as many facilities to help students in their learning process as possible. The library as one of the primary tools in students’ work stock contains 18 479 books and offers 80 places to sit. It also has INFLIBNET amongst other facilities; eighteen N-Computing nodes for e-reading; nine newspapers and four magazines and journals. It also has a well furnished Information Technology facilities comprising of Six servers, ninety nine computers three laptops, six LCD projectors, thr> The schools own efficient banking and ATM facilities, sufficient students’ parking space and adequacy of a soundproof hall for functions and seminars.
The institute provides a vast list of the course it provides and all these are taught under distance learning mode. These comprise B.Com, BA, and BBA under under graduate level and MBA, MCA, MA (Economics, English, Odiya, Public Administration, Sociology, Education, Hindi, Political Science, Sanskrit, History), MSW, M.Com under post graduate level.
