Students of DIET can seek the benefit of various Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) schemes offered by the Welfare Department of the Government of Odisha (mostly routed through the PRERANA portal). DIET Baripada scholarships generally include the payment of tuition and mandatory fees up to a certain cap.
The Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, provides a stipend of Rs. 8,300 for ST students, Rs. 7,500 for SC students, and Rs. 3,000 for OBC/SEBC students. DIET Baripada also offers a merit scholarship directly to its top-performing students of Rs 3000, whose family income is less than Rs 120,000.
The state provides a certain amount of money to be spent on Tuition & Compulsory Fees for the financially and socially disadvantaged students of the scheduled tribes, scheduled castes, and other backward classes, and socially and educationally backward classes (for example, the amount was up to Rs 26,500 per annum for Diploma courses, as per the earlier guidelines).
