The Doon Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Saharanpur, is a comparatively small college that started in 2017 to impart education in Ayurvedic medicine. Affiliated to the CCIM and situated in Sunderpur, Behat Tehsil of Uttar Pradesh, this is the college established with approvals from the CCIM. Stretched over a campus of 7.7 acres, the current student strength of the institute totals 138. ITM College has a very small number of faculty members that are 8 in number, thus providing close acrms to the students who want to become Ayurvedic doctors. Currently, the institute offers only one program of degree, which states the focus of the institution on Ayurvedic training. 

Doon Ayurvedic Medical College has an array of structures and equipment intended to facilitate the learning process of the college’s students. As for the hostels, there are different hostels for the boys’ and girls’ separately, and the hostel also has a vegetarian mess & play areas for the students. The Doon Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital provides only one course of BAMS, or the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. This course is a 6-year program and offered for the degree in Ayurvedic medicine in its full tenure. This approach narrows the relevant expertise and professional focus of the institute on the delivery of quality education in Ayurvedic medicine.

The admission requirements at Doon Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital are mostly dependent on the National Eligibility and Entrance Test, commonly referred to as the NEET. It is through this examination that aspiring students can easily make it to this BAMS program at this national level. The college follows the admission schedule decided by university/government norms most of the time relating to NEET exam centres and counselling periods.
