Dr Ambedkar College is run by Dr Ambedkar Memorial Education Trust. This Institution was started by Sri. D. Bashkaran, Ex-Deputy Mayor, in the year 1978 in the name of Dr Ambedkar, the Champion of the downtrodden, to impart higher education, particularly to the downtrodden and weaker sections of society.
