• A total of 45 students from Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair participated in the Yuva Sangam event held in Ranchi, Jharkhand which took place in April 2023.

Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair was established in the year 1984 as Dr BR Ambedkar Government Polytechnic College. The institute was renamed as Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology in the year 2010. It is the oldest engineering college in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The B.Tech courses of the institute are affiliated with Pondicherry University and the diploma courses are affiliated with Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. The institute is certified by ISO 9000, approved by the AICTE, recognised by UGC and accredited by NBA and NAAC with a B grade.

DBRAIT Port Blair admission is done on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the previous qualification. The institute also offers various facilities for its students such as transport facilities, canteen facilities, hostel facilities and medical facilities. The infrastructure of the campus is well-developed. It includes Audio & Visual Lab, Multipurpose Hall and Library. The institute also has a training and placement cell which offers various placement opportunities for its students.
