DBRAIT, Port Blair Facilities

DBRAIT Port Blair offers a wide range of facilities for both students and staff members. Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology Port Blair facilities include a library, transport, canteen, co-operative society, first aid cell, audio/visual lab, hostel, and multipurpose hall. The DBRAIT Port Blair has a well-equipped library with more than 44,000 books. The DBRAIT library is located in the main building and provides information that is needed for faculty members and students.

Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology Port Blair, also has canteen facilities that are available to both students and staff members. The DBRAIT Port Blair facilities also include separate accommodation for both girls and boys within the campus. The DBRAIT Port Blair, other facilities include a multipurpose hall where students can play volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, and others.

Boys Hostel
Separate accommodation for boys is available within the campus for the students hailing from other islands except for South Andaman. Hostel facilities are not available for the students residing in Port Blair within the radius of 20Kms.
Girls Hostel
Separate accommodation for girls is available within the campus for the students hailing from other islands except for South Andaman. Hostel facilities are not available for the students residing in Port Blair within the radius of 20Kms.
Medical/Hospital
The college has a full-time pharmacist for the students in case of meet any sort of accidents, which may occur during the conduct of practical or any reason thereof.
Library
The library is well equipped with modern facilities. The library software has been developed by our student as a project and all the library activities are computerized, including the bar-coding of books. Separate Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) terminal provided for searching for books in the library. Apart from books the library also has an excellent collection of educational CDs and encyclopedias. The Library is housed in the main building and caters to the information needs of the faculty members and students. It has around 43600 books covering all disciplines of engineering technology, humanities, and social sciences.
Sports
A multi-purpose hall with wooden flooring & proper illumination is constructed on the campus to provide facilities for indoor games like volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, carom, etc.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Cafeteria
Canteen facilities are available within the campus for students and staff. The canteen is engaged and supervised by the canteen committee consisting of students and staff.
Auditorium
The institute has an auditorium with a capacity of 1040 for conducting various cultural activities.
Wifi
The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.
Convenience Store
To cater to the need of staff and students of the institute, a consumer is organized for all the staff and students. Presently the co-operative society is supplying books, drawing instruments, groceries, and other stationery items.
Transport Facility
The institute provides three buses which are made available both for students and staff of the institute. Bus services for local students are provided on nominal charges.
Gym
The college has a Gym facility for the students.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
The Institute has one beautiful four-room guest house, which is mostly used for Institutes guests.
Laboratories
The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students.
Alumni Associations
The college has good networking for the alumni association.

College Infrastructure

There are well structured classrooms . There is a library along with a free wifi facility provided to the students . Labs are available here . There is a canteen which is good , and the food served is fresh and affordable . Sports ground of our college is huge .
