Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Pooja College of Pharmacy, Gorakhpur, was established in 2009 as the land ciddi institution of pharmaceutical education in Uttar Pradesh. The affiliated college is approved by the PCI, located near Gulaharia Thana on Medical College Road, and has developed an apt learning atmosphere for the would-be pharmacists within the 2.5 acres area. The students-to-teacher ratio is very good in the college, with a total enrolment of 284 students and a faculty strength of 24, hence assuring personalised attention and quality education.

The college has quite a good number of modern facilities supporting its academic programs. The library is an important constituent of any learning institution, and this one has more than 5,700 volumes and 500 titles covering almost all areas in pharmaceutical sciences and allied subjects. The Laboratories are well-equipped and meet the norms of AICTE, PCI, and AKTU. The IT Infrastructure consists of 16 networked computers provided with internet facilities to promote research and computer-based learning.

The Institute, being recognised, has the scope of offering two full-time courses, namely the four-year B.Pharma program and a two-year D.Pharma program. In each of these courses, the intake capacity is 60, meaning the institution can admit a total of 120 students in its programs yearly.
