The affiliated college, Dr. G.U. Pope College of Education, Thoothukudi was established in 2006, and is situated at Sawyerpuram, Tamil Nadu. This institution is also recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and it offers teacher education programme. Spread over 5 acres, the college has the strength of 159 students and 10 teaching staff members.

Dr. G.U. Pope College of Education has put in place amenities that are supposed to facilitate teaching leaning to the ability of the students.
