Photocopying facility is provided for the benefit of Students and Faculty. The College has an institutional membership with the British Council Library, The American Library (USCG), and the University of Madras which the students and faculty make use of to widen their knowledge in diverse fields. The college is a member of the NDLI club (National Digital Library club).WiFi facility is available for students and faculty members. Apart from the Central Library, each Department has a functional library of select books pertaining to the syllabus.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association. The Alumni Association of Dr. MGR Janaki College was formed in 1999. The initiation of the final year students into the Alumnae Association is held at the end of the academic year. An active and zestful Alumni are the brand ambassadors of the ideals and values of the college. Many of them are far-flung. Even though they may not be able to be physically present, they are homeward bound in spirit and do everything possible to help their juniors find a footing in this world. The annual meeting of the alumni association is held every year in November.
The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. Expensive equipment has been installed in the laboratories for the benefit of the students. Great care must be taken in handling equipment. Work tables and sanitary fittings should be kept absolutely clean at all times.
