Dr PDBH Government PG College, Kotdwar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Dr. PDBH Government PG College, Kotdwar, was founded in the year 1971 as one of the major educational institutes under Pauri Garhwal of Uttarakhand. This co-educational campus sprawls over a 13-acre campus and has available courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college is affiliated to the state university and accredited by NAAC. It is also approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. Student enrolment is 4,893, with 2,797 females and 1,612 males. The student-faculty ratio is 62:1, having a total of 79 faculty members. There are courses 25 in number under 7 degrees spanning across many disciplines.

The college works to enhance the learning experience of each student. It has a well-stocked library that serves as an information hub for all students in the college. There are also heaps of books and other resources therein. For the sports lovers, facilities for various games such as football, boxing, volleyball, cricket, kabaddi, and badminton are provided by the college. Annual sports events and inter-college competitions are regularly organized to infuse the students with the spirit of sportsmanship. This college also has well-equipped, modern laboratories in its different departments for practical learning. Students get opportunities to gather hands-on experience in their respective fields of study. Dr. PDBH Government PG College has a plethora of academic courses to cater to the divergent interests of students. 

There are 25 courses in total, of which some are full-time and others are self-financed. The postgraduate courses that the college offers at the postgraduate level are MA in Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Sociology, Home Science, and Music. 

PDBH Government PG College is merit-based. If one considers the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations, then that, too, serves as the basic criterion of admission. The college has adopted CUET UG scores for admission to under-graduate courses.
