Dr. S. Radhakrishnan College of Education, Bokaro, set up in the year-2012 is one of the premier teachers’ training institutions located at Chas, Bokaro in the state of Jharkhand. This co-educational institute which is an affiliate of the state university is recognized by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE). Located on only 0.7 acre, the college provides education for two concentration programmes leading to the award of college degree. The total number of students in the premier institute is 143 and the faculty has found strength in 29 faculty members methodising education. This college aims to deliver quality education specially in the stream of teacher education college offers B.Ed & D.El.Ed. courses for the learners.

The college has a library with strength of approximately four thousand books on educational and other related books and reference books, text books and journals. Dr. S. Radhakrishnan College of Education offers two full-time courses. B. Ed. and Diploma in Elementary Education D.El.Ed.. Both programmes take two years for completion and have an approved intake capacity of one hundred students each for all courses offered but in total it has a capacity of two hundred. The college is specifically accredited to teacher education programmes, with the preparation of candidates for careers in both levels of education systems.

The eligibility criteria for admission in the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan College of Education include marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination and entrance test. The admission process is done in conformity with the guidelines by the state government of Jharkhand the college and the affiliated university. For the B.Ed. programme, candidates are admitted by their performance in the previous qualifying examination and entrance test.
