Dr. Zakir Husain College of Education Burhanpur was established in 2005 is one of the pioneer institutions imparting education in the field of teacher education. Established as an affiliated college in Burhanpur of Madhya Pradesh it works under the guidelines framed by the National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE. With an area under 12 acres, the college occupies a space that provides students with ample opportunities to develop. The institution provides quality education with 96 students and 8 faculties for student, faculty ratio for one teacher to every 8 students give more focused attention towards student.

Dr. Zakir Husain College of Education is a teacher education college which only provides B.Ed programme. This is a two years full course that is aimed at producing qualified educators to fit in the current teaching market. The B. Ed programme has an approved intake of 50 students which promote close and individualised learning.
